Car rental at
Bergen Flesland Airport

We booked a standard class car on the Sixt app a few weeks before arriving. We arrived at the Bergen Airport and walked just a few minutes until we reached the rental agency. There were a couple of customers ahead of us but they had two staffers working so it moved quickly. The gentlemen couldn't have been more courteous. They both were happy to give us pointers and information about visting/traveling in Norway. While we were en route we thought that maybe we'd check to see if they has an SUV available, since we'd be doing a lot of scenic driving and thought it would be best to be up high. So we asked if by chance they had one. He checked and said yes, we have a Porsche and a Volvo available. Obviously, I started to say Por... until my budget conscious partner (correctly) kneed me... and I said the Volvo sounds good! The increase in price seamed reasonable and we accepted. The paperwork was very easy and we were on the road within 15 minutes or so. To my pleasant surprise, we walked up to a higher trim level XC90 Plug-in hybrid. We couldn't have been happier (besides the reality thst it would use more gas- but was totally worth the trade-off). It easily fit both of us and our luggage with room to spare. It had plenty of zoom and the sunroof and premium sound system made driving around a dream. We had no issues with it at all (the only thing I'll mention is that there was no power cord provided to plug in- which would have been nice but not a big deal for our style of travel). We experienced the same excellent customer service when we returned the car and received the finalized invoice within 12-24 hours or so. All charges were expected and no surprises. I will definitely be renting from Sixt Bergen in the future and highly recommend them! They may seem a little bit on the pricier side but with the models/trims they provide it is worth the premium.
