Drive from Denver to San Francisco with a One-Way Car Rental

Your drive from Colorado to California will take you through many states in the American West. You can take an easy route through southern Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and all the way to the coast and San Francisco. Because much of this route involves going through mountainous areas, if you are driving between October and April you should consider renting a vehicle like an SUV or another with four-wheel-drive. You should also consider adding winter equipment to your rental, if available, as well as roadside protection. We also have a variety of vehicles including economy cars, convertibles, sports cars, and luxury sedans. Be advised that not all vehicles are available for one-way rentals.

The route between the two cities is simple. After picking up your one-way car rental at Denver Airport, take I-25 N through Fort Collins to Laramie, Wyoming where you will merge onto I-80 W. You stay on this interstate all the way to its end point in San Francisco. Along the way you will pass through Salt Lake City, Utah and the Great Salt Lake just to the north and see the vastness of Nevada.
