Didn't get the small SUV like I thought, but the mazda3 was okay. Good luggage space, good fuel efficiency, very difficult to get in and out of the front seats so not good for seniors (husband hit his head on door frame every time). All the paperwork is done in the online booking, just the certificate, DL, and credit card needed at pick-up which took maybe 15 minutes all up. Dropoff and handover was easy, different location from pickup.
Surprised at the poor roads and potholes in Victoria.
Finding where at Melbourne airport (which is under construction) was frustrating with no direct number to ring for directions, google maps was useless, CFMEU workers got angry when we ended up in the wrong/previous entry, luckily we had time to work it out and drive by 3 times. Not happy.
Perhaps an email to customer on the latest directions/entry to the returns at airport would solve that.
