A clean car available as promised at the time booked. Clerk was nice enough to explain how to start the car and change the settings to English. We had to figure out how to connect phone to navigation (it took a day) as it was not as straightforward as in the US rentals. We were in a Peugeot 4 door car with room in the trunk for two large bags and two smaller bags. There was navigation in the car, but we preferred our phone maps. Being connected to the WiFi in the car made my cell phone not work one day so I couldn't display the map from my phone as I had no cell phone service. I don't know what was going on there so I disconnected from the WiFi and I had cell phone service. Maybe someone younger would have deduced this quicker. The car had a nice ride and the manual wasn't too bad. The clerk mentioned I had a discount at check in, but since I had prepaid for the rental, I saw no discount in my billing (meaning I was expecting money to be returned to me). Perhaps the clerk misspoke, but the way to prevent this is to present the client with the detailed billing upon arrival to show them everything once again to remind them what has been paid for, what options are still available to choose (such as having SIXT refill the tank for me), and what options I did choose. I booked this car several months in advance so that would have been helpful. My rental cost was approximately 600 euros for 3 days. This includes damage insurance, additional driver, cross-border driving, and filling up the tank as I returned the vehicle on a bank holiday. Damage insurance is highly recommended in Europe on several Facebook groups discussing car rentals.
