The SIXT branch is located inside Santa Maria Novella Train Station. From the platforms area, with your back to the trains, take the exit on the left hand side in the direction of the Pharmacy. Turn left and proceed a few meters, there you will find our office on your left.

SIXT Parking

The SIXT parking area is in the underground car park of the train station Santa Maria Novella, floor - 4, sector A.

Return information

Please return your SIXT vehicle in the parking of the train station in floor -4 sector A and leave the car in one of the SIXT parking lots. Then you can hand over the key to our employees in the SIXT branch or enter the keys in the orange keybox, which is located in the SIXT parking area next to the barriers. Our branch in not in the ZTL area (Limited traffic zone). Please avoid the yellow preferential lanes that are reserved for taxis and buses.

My husband and I traveled to Florence for the first time and we rented a car for two days from Sixt. We had a very pleasant interaction with Emma. Elana at the Florence train station location was incredibly kind and helpful! After Hertz lost our reservation, we had to make one last minute through Sixt. I had ordered a car over the phone through a Sixt call center and they made mistakes. Once we got to the counter, Elana provided us with kind, quick, and informative assistance. She even had them retrieve the car for us because we were having a stressful day. Saint Elana saved our honeymoon!!

Absolutely lovely and personal service. The route to the car park was well signposted, as was the car return route, which was equally well marked and easy to follow. On top of that, the office provided printed materials both for the route to the car park and the car return, as well as an information sheet on how to recognise and avoid accidentally entering a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). Honestly, if someone can't find the car park, return the car, and still manages to drive into a ZTL with such a comprehensive set of aids, then they really shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel.
