ECONOMY CAR RENTAL

An economy car is a smaller rental car, which is one of the cheapest categories to rent. Usually it's suitable for driving around a city or making short trips when you don't have too many passengers or luggage.

At SIXT, you can rent an economy car with a debit card. Your debit card has to be valid at the time of pick-up and issued in the name of the main driver. In order to use your debit card as a car rental payment method, you will be required to follow additional specifications and may be subject to restrictions. In general, an authorization of a minimum of $200 plus the amount due for the rental will be taken for security purposes. Depending on the banking institution the amount is not immediately debited but held on the cardholder’s bank account until the final rental charge amount has been debited. When the vehicle is returned, the invoiced amount will be charged to the credit card provided, unless you present another form of payment. Find out more about deposits.
