How and when to use the I-25HOV/Express Lanes

I-25 Express Lanes are open during peak travel times and provide faster and more reliable travel times. They include seven miles on I-25 between downtown Denver and US 36. Solo drivers/toll paying vehicles are not allowed to use the US 36 Express Lanes until the lanes start to merge to I-25 near Pecos. Anything west of Pecos on US 36 is for HOV vehicles only. Vehicles without an ExpressToll account and pass and those that do not meet the HOV requirements can pay through a License Plate Toll but at a higher rate than ExpressToll account holders. Starting mid-2015  Express Lanes will require an ExpressToll account and pass to travel for free as an HOV or carpool.

The E-470 is broken into 4 different sections making it easy to know how much you need to pay. For updated prices you can find the information here .

The main reason for this toll road is transportation to Denver International Airport it is the most direct route if coming from the North or the South. There are ways to drive to Denver International Airport without using E-470 Toll Road. However if you are running late the toll roads usually do save you some driving time.

The great thing about the E-70 is that you do not have to stop at a toll and wait to pay. Your license plate is photographed and an invoice will be sent to your address where you will be able to pay the toll road later.  You will be able to pay online or by post. For more information about paying here .
