What is the difference between a chauffeur service and a taxi service?

Reservation Difference

The on-demand ride option allows you to hail a taxi when you need one. For the chauffeur service, you will need to make a reservation at least 1 hour in advance.

Car Segment Difference

In the on-demand service you will travel in the car segments of the local taxi providers with which we have a partnership. In the chauffeur service you will travel in the latest black limousine models.

Waiting Time Difference

For the on-demand service, you have to call and wait when you leave the airport. For the chauffeur service, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at the airport.

Device Difference

You can only book the on-demand ride service via the mobile app. You can book the chauffeur service both on the desktop website and on the mobile app.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

If you reserve a private chauffeur through SIXT ride, your driver will wait up to one hour at no additional cost. Your driver will also track your flight number, so he or she will know if you are running late.
