How does SIXT share car sharing work?
Easily get from point A to point B with SIXT share car sharing. Currently, SIXT share is available in Germany and the Netherlands via the SIXT app.
Select a shared car from our fleet based on your needs; cabrio, electric car or even van (only in Germany). Spontaneously book a shared car in the SIXT app and use it starting from as little as 1 minute and up to 7 days, depending on the country. After you choose a shared car, it will be reserved free of charge for 15 minutes. When you get to the vehicle, unlock it in the app with one click and drive away. Please note, that you need to be over 21 years old and have a valid driving license.
Best of all: The price per minute includes up to 200 km, gas/charging, parking fees, and taxes & protection.
SIXT share also partners with MILES in Belgium and Zity in Italy and Spain. All car sharing services are available and bookable via the SIXT app. Please note that different rates, conditions apply for car sharing with third-party mobility providers.

On the map in the SIXT app, you can easily find the nearest vehicles in your area, whether it's a car sharing car, e-moped or e-scooter. Reserve your vehicle with just one click, and it will be saved for you for 15 minutes free of charge.
2. OPEN THE CAR & DRIVE OFF
Use the SIXT app to open the car with one click, then get in and get going.
3. STAY FLEXIBLE
SIXT share offers customized mobility. You decide if you need a car for 5 minutes or up to 7 days, and whether you use the minute rate or book one of the attractive hourly, daily or kilometer packages. Add protection and even reduce your deductible to 0€*.
4. MILES BILLING BY KILOMETER
The price for booking a MILES car consists of a fixed activation fee of €1 (€2 for premium vehicles) plus a price per kilometer. The current price is displayed in the app at the time of reservation. If you make a stopover during your rental, a parking fee per minute is due.
5. PARK & END THE RENTAL
Park the car either in the business area or at any SIXT station in Germany (a fee is charged when returning the car to SIXT stations) and easily end the rental in the app. That's it!

Please note SIXT car sharing is only available for those who are at least 21 years old and have a driver license.
To use SIXT share car sharing, you’ll need to install the SIXT app on your smartphone, sign up, upload all the necessary documents, and create a PIN code. Registration is very quick and straightforward, so don’t worry. Then, use the SIXT app to find available SIXT share cars near you. You can reserve a car for up to 15 minutes for free. Choose a car, book it, and then unlock the car via the app to start car sharing. Please make sure that your final destination is within the SIXT share business area. Stopovers are possible outside the business area as well, but the journey must always end within the business area.
SIXT share offers you low-cost car sharing starting at only 9 cents/minute* (Germany) and at only 19 cents/minute*(Netherlands). Our prices are based on supply and demand as well as location, time and car model. Book attractive hourly, daily and kilometer packages if you need to take a longer trip.
