MA Toll Roads FAQs
Tolls on the Massachusetts Turnpike are cashless. You can pay with an E-ZPass MA or other compatible transponder or Pay by Plate with an invoice sent to you in the mail.
If you get an invoice from Pay by Plate for a missed toll you can pay it online or by mail with a check or money order.
You will receive a Pay by Plate invoice in the mail. If you don’t pay by the due date, you will be charged late fees. If the tolls go unpaid long enough, your vehicle registration can be suspended.
You can pay tolls with an E-ZPass MA or Pay by Plate on the Massachusetts Turnpike, as well as on the Tobin Memorial Bridge, Sumner Tunnel, Ted Williams Tunnel and Callahan Tunnel.
The cost of traveling the entire Massachusetts Turnpike costs between $7.50 and $14.00 for 2-axle cars and vehicles, depending on how you pay.
While you can pay with either transponder on toll roads in Massachusetts, rates are cheaper with E-ZPass MA.
