To help travel agencies sell SIXT holiday, SIXT provides helpful guidelines and materials:
Payment methods
To pay for the SIXT holiday rental, customers need to prepay the rental before picking up the car. This is different from pay-on-arrival products, like travel agency rates.
SIXT offers several payment options that we will explain in further detail below.
Credit card
Since the SIXT holiday rental is a pre-paid product, customers need to provide their credit card details during the booking process. It's important to note that the credit card used for the booking needs to be presented when picking up the car.
After finalizing the reservation, a booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided.
The rental amount will be deducted from the client's account within a few days.
Cancellation
If the customer's credit card is used for the booking, the amount will be refunded to the customer's account after the reservation is canceled.
Rebooking
Customers can rebook their reservation for free. However, it's important to note that a refund will not be granted if the new price of the reservation is lower than the original booking price.
Agency encashment
If your travel agency is located in one of the following countries - AT, BeNeLux, CH, DE, ES, FR, UK, or USA - you can use the option of agency encashment to pay the rental fee on behalf of your customers.
Choosing the "Agency Encashment" option from the drop-down menu of payment methods means that your agency will be paying the rental fee to SIXT instead of your customer. SIXT will send an invoice for the rental fee to your agency six weeks before the scheduled pick-up date. The invoice will include the details of a specific bank account to which your agency will need to transfer the money within a given time period.
Cancellation
If you cancel a reservation for which you chose agency encashment as the payment method, SIXT will refund the rental fee to your agency's account.
Rebooking
Rebooking a reservation is free of charge. However, please note that SIXT will not grant a refund in case the new price of the reservation is lower than the price of the original booking.
