What is the difference between a chauffeur service and a taxi service?

Reservation Difference

The on-demand ride option allows you to hail a taxi when you need one. For the chauffeur service, you will need to make a reservation at least 1 hour in advance.

Car Segment Difference

In the on-demand service you will travel in the car segments of the local taxi providers with which we have a partnership. In the chauffeur service you will travel in the latest black limousine models.

Waiting Time Difference

For the on-demand service, you have to call and wait when you leave the airport. For the chauffeur service, your chauffeur will be waiting for you at the airport.

Device Difference

You can only book the on-demand ride service via the mobile app. You can book the chauffeur service both on the desktop website and on the mobile app.

No, you won’t. SIXT uses a cashless payment method. At the time you book your ride, you’ll provide your credit or debit card information. Once your ride is complete, your card will be charged. This card will be linked to your account for future transactions.

Are Honolulu taxis pet-friendly?

Yes, you can bring your dog or cat with you on your ride. There are, however, a couple of stipulations. One, your pet must be secured and under control. Additionally, there must be adequate room for your pet in the vehicle.
